Farm to Food Bank

The Regional Farm to Food Bank (RF2FB) program is an initiative of New Mexico Grown that purchases local foods at fair prices to nourish New Mexicans in underserved communities. By offering fair prices to farmers, ranchers, and other food producers we help increase the availability of the best, fresh local foods in communities while also supporting local economies across the state.

The Food Depot in Santa Fe coordinates the RF2FB food purchases and delivers them on behalf of the five New Mexico food banks who work together as the New Mexico Association of Food Banks. The RF2FB program also relies on the help of the Food Bank Association’s 562 partner agencies that assist people in all 33 counties in New Mexico.

With one in five New Mexicans experiencing food insecurity, the RF2FB program helps ensure that all New Mexicans in need receive critical fresh food assistance.

New Mexico Grown has a rich history of supporting access to local foods in programs across the state. The first step to selling into the RFFB program is becoming an Approved Supplier.
