Attention New Mexico Grown participants: here’s an opportunity worth checking out! The Growing Justice Fund is now accepting applications—and it’s especially relevant for organizations working to strengthen good food purchasing, build local supply chains, and uplift producers in historically marginalized communities.

What is the Growing Justice Fund?

  • Implementation Grants range from $50,000 to $250,000 for implementation projects that are ready to scale.

  • Smaller Planning Grants (up to $25,000) are also available to help with project development, partnership-building, or strategic planning.

The funding is focused on supporting Tribal, Indigenous, Black, Latinx, Asian, and immigrant communities working to expand access to institutional food purchasing (think schools, hospitals, etc.).

Why this matters for New Mexico Grown

If you’re part of the New Mexico Grown program—or work with vendors/producers who are—the Growing Justice Fund offers a chance to move from local/farmers-market sales to bigger institutional contracts. This can mean more stable revenue, broader impact, and strengthening of your food system infrastructure.
