Farm to Table is now accepting applications for two Micro-Grant opportunities through the New Mexico Farmer Innovation Program (NMFIP): the Urban Agriculture Micro-Grant and the Rural and Tribal Agriculture Micro-Grant.
These non-matching grants are available to New Mexico farmers, ranchers, and food producers with a gross cash farm income of $250,000 or less per year.
Originally launched in 2024 with support from the USDA Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production program, NMFIP focused on strengthening urban agriculture and improving access to healthy, local food. In 2026, Farm to Table is expanding the program to also support rural and Tribal producers working on climate-responsive and regenerative agriculture projects across New Mexico.
Both grant opportunities are now open:
-
Urban Agriculture Micro-Grant (for producers in communities with populations over 5,000 or more than 2,000 households)
-
Rural and Tribal Agriculture Micro-Grant (for producers in rural and Tribal communities)
Important Dates:
-
Applications open: January 20, 2026
-
Online applications due: February 19, 2026
-
Mailed applications must be postmarked by: February 19, 2026
Unified Webinar & Q&A:
Farm to Table will host a single informational webinar covering both grant opportunities on January 27, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM MT on Zoom. The webinar will include a program overview, application guidance, and a live Q&A. A recording will be posted afterward at farmtotablenm.org.
